Another beautiful day on the Italian Riveria.
We stopped off at a small cove for breakfast and then headed into Lerici for some bread for lunch. The Pilot Guide said that if there was not enough space at the Yacht Club then to find a mooring of appropriate size which we duly did. The water taxi arrived and much confusion ensued as we were unable to understand what the driver was saying. He motored off to get a translator and a young guy returned who spoke French. He said that we could moor at the steps for a few minutes but only to get some bread. We found the little bread shop on thr corner and also bought some focaccia and some small fried nuggets which were lovely!
We returned to the steps and gave the French lad a tip before mooring off the town of Portovenere with the bigger motor yachts. We saw a large yacht which had lots of water toys – an iceberg that you can climb up and jump off, several floats, a jet ski and speedboat- very nice! We also saw a large motor yacht, LIGHER which is from London and was sailing her red ensign.
After lunch we moved around to a nice beach and spent the afternoon swimming and reading!
